Jill Gioia is rock singer/songwriter from New York.
Jill performed at the Manhattan Center with INXS, Jeffrey Gaines
and Gloria Gaynor as part of the BALI BENEFIT. Jill’s song, “Don’t
Make Me Wait” is currently a European single, released by platinum-selling
act K-Otic (Zomba).
Her song "He’s My Bitch" had been in regular
rotation on WLIR 92.7 FM . She has also been heard on WBLI 106.2
FM , WDHA, MTVs "The Real World" and NBC’s “Passions”.
Jill is the winner of the first Steve Madden "Rock n’ Sole
Band Search Contest". As a result, Steve Madden made the “Jill
Joy Boot ”, a boot designed and named after Jill. She also headlined
a 5-city tour sponsored by Steve Madden, ending with a performance
at the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame.
Jill has opened for Third Eye Blind at the Hard Rock
in Las Vegas. She’s performed with Third Eye Blind on David Letterman
as well as the GQ Men of the Year Award Show. She has also recently
opened for Res (Irving Plaza), 98 Degrees (Jones Beach Theater),
the B-52’s, Nine Days, and Berlin.
Jill was featured on the cover of Flatiron Magazine’s summer issue.
She also appeared in Newsday, Glamour, Billboard, Inside Connection,
RockrGrl, GoodTimes and News 12.
Starcrazy www.starcrazy.com is launching the “Jill
Gioia Lipgloss” this fall. It will be sold in the House of Blues
stores and other major retail outlets. Starcrazy is a new cosmetics
company already featuring designs for LIVE, Garbage, and Linkin
Park.
Jill,
a member of Screen Actors Guild (SAG) since she was a child, has
appeared on such TV shows as "Law & Order S.V.U.",
"Sex and The City" and "The Sopranos". She
regularly does charity work for Musicians On Call at Sloan Kettering
Hospital.

Introducing CBS’s Rock Star Supernova

The new band, Supernova, formed by drummer Tommy Lee (Mötley
Crüe) with bassist Jason Newsted (Metallica) and guitarist Gilby
Clarke (Guns N’ Roses)
New lead singer to be chosen from 16 hopefuls when
the second edition of CBS’s Rock Star returns summer 2006.
New album to be produced by Butch Walker (Rolling
Stone Magazine’s 2005 “Hot Producer Of The Year”).
CBS and Mark Burnett Productions announced today that
legendary musicians from some of the biggest American rock bands
have joined forces to form a new band, Supernova, and will use CBS’s
Rock Star as the competition to determine the new lead singer.
Supernova will feature drummer Tommy Lee (Mötley Crüe), Jason Newsted
(Metallica) and Gilby Clarke (Guns N’ Roses). The second edition
of CBS’s Rock Star will premiere on the network this summer.
